I'd purchased DV Rack 2.0 a while ago when it was owned by Serious Magic, installed it successfully on my laptop and have been using it all this time. Recently I got a new desktop system and tried to install the second copy as it allows you to do, but while I have the original CD in a jewel-case, I'd misplaced the old sleeve and didn't have the serial number handy (its not on the original CD nor is it in my laptop copy).

So I clicked on the "Lost my License details' button supplying my old email(s) (they've changed twice since), but had no response.

I contacted Adobe support and after about 11 calls, someone finally informed me that SoftWrap handles all activations. When I finally got through to SoftWrap support, they claim that they cannot find my details in their database!!!

I'm now stuck with my one copy on my laptop (which I dare not uninstall since I may not be able to reinstall) and a piece of software that I spent my hard earned cash on, that I cannot use.

Can anyone suggest anything I can do to resolve this??? Please Help!!!

Pesi,

Try running this utility on your machine that already has DV Rack on it.   http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

This is a programme that gives details on your system and shows the serial numbers of installed programmes.

Good luck!
